Engagement Links Best Practices
Workpapers can only be linked using Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object Links - as detailed in CCH's article "How do I link Microsoft® Excel® and Word documents in CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement or Workpaper Manager?"
1. Copy the excel worksheet cell range you would like to reference in your word workpaper.
2. Select the arrow under the paste button and select Paste Special...
3. Select the Paste link: toggle and then Select Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object link
4. Congrats you have created your link!
5. To reference the links you have created go to File>Info>Edit Links to Files
6. Links will appear in this menu in the order they show up in the word workpaper.
