How to Launch Cloud apps from Start Menu and Make Desktop Shortcuts
Starting in January of 2026, you can launch cloud apps without needing to even open the Windows App(Abdo Cloud Launcher). This article will cover several ways you can leverage this.
To get started:
- Click the settings button in the bottom left hand of the windows app
- Toggle "Add remote resources to your start menu to 'on'"
- Now if you click the start menu or hit the windows key on your keyboard, you can search for your cloud apps and immediately launch them from the start menu.
Creating Desktop Shortcuts
- If you want to add these as a shortcut to your desktop, you can click "open file location"
- Then you can copy and paste the shortcuts you want to your desktop or even into folders on your desktop.
